Inaugural Golf Tournament
Raises more than $50,000 for
Children's Cancer Research Fund
|
The station’s afternoon co-host, Moon, and morning show co-host, Greg Thunder, participated by golfing the exclusive TPC Twin Cities course to benefit Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
The 72 golfers and volunteers alike took pleasure in the beautiful golf course and top-notch service the TPC Twin Cities is known for, a luncheon provided by Outback Steakhouse, and a program and live auction lead by Greg Thunder and his morning show co-host, Melissa Moore.
Overall, the event raised over $50,000 for Children’s Cancer Research Fund a non profit organization based in Minneapolis with one focused and clearly defined goal to eradicate childhood cancer.
Funds raised by Children’s Cancer Research Fund enable the University of Minnesota Cancer Center, a leading pediatric cancer research facility, to continue its pioneering efforts in the prevention, diagnoses, treatment and cure of childhood cancers. Many discoveries funded by Children’s Cancer Research Fund have revolutionized the way childhood cancer is treated worldwide.
With the help of KS95, the TPC Twin Cities, and the event sponsors and participants, Children’s Cancer Research Fund can continue to make medical history, and most importantly, help children lead healthy, happy lives.
Special thanks to our Hole Sponsors: Cobra Electronics, Cyberpower, Jabra, Jessen Press, Maplewood Imports, Outback Steakhouse, Select Sales, Targus, Toshiba, and Toy ‘n Around.
