About Time to Fly
Time to Fly is one of Children’s Cancer Research Fund’s signature fundraising events. Each year Time to Fly brings together an inspiring community affected by childhood cancer. It allows them a space to connect, increase awareness for childhood cancer and raise money to fund research through peer-to-peer fundraising. Time to Fly relies on enthusiastic and dedicated supporters who fundraise for many months leading up to the event in September. Since its inception in 2003, Time to Fly has raised over $2.3 million dollars.
This 5k walk and 1k Kid’s Fun Run is held each September to celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. All participants are encouraged to fundraise to support the brightest scientists whose ideas are making the greatest impact for children with cancer.
The event consists of a full morning of family-friendly activities, a chance for group photos, a 5k community walk, a 1K Kid’s Fun Run and a short program to celebrate super fundraisers, while also sharing stories of hope and healing.
Time to Fly 2018 is Sat., Sept. 29 at Phalen Regional Park in Saint Paul, Minn. If you are not able to attend in person, all supporters are encouraged to engage with Time to Fly by becoming a virtual fundraiser.
