Join us for the virtual Walk for Childhood Cancer Research!
It will be 8 years this August 22 since we lost Cecelia to Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She didn't even make it to her 13th birthday. This December 22, Cecelia would have been 21 years old. Able to have her first legal alcoholic drink. My goal is to raise $2100 (or more...) in honor of her upcoming birthday. I'm asking everyone to donate the cost of buying her a drink (or 2 or 10, f you so desire). This is one of many milestones we have had to pass without her here and many more to come.
I wouldn't wish the loss of a child on anyone, not even my worst enemy.
Every day, 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer. That's more than the size of two classrooms. One child diagnosed with cancer is one child too many.
That's why we are participating in the virtual Walk for Childhood Cancer Research again (for the 8th year) this September. The funds we raise will support Children's Cancer Research Fund and groundbreaking research that will lead to better treatments and ultimately, lifesaving cures for children.
And you can help me reach the finish line by making a donation or joining me at The Walk. Whatever you can give makes a difference – every $1 you give helps researchers receive an additional $18 from the government and other funding sources.
Thank you for supporting life-saving research and the families and children who battle cancer daily.
